Twenty may not be deemed as a special birthday year, 21 and 25 sure! But 20? not so much. Well
really it should be, when you hit twenty that is the end of your teenage years. That is what scares people the most about turning twenty, suddenly being considered as an adult and having to feel like you're all grown up, when in reality it's quite the opposite.
Hitting the big 2-0 should not be a daunting occasion, if anything it should be considered as an exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity. They all say twenties are the best years of your life, as hard as they can be, they truly are. Your family starts to expand, if you have older siblings like me you'll have nieces and nephews popping out. You make new, strong friendships that will outlast any so-called previous friendships, you start to discover who your true friends are. You can experience so many new things that you never would at any other age and it's the time of your life where you discover your true loves and desires. Most of all you have the opportunity to do all those things that you've always wanted to do.
So stop your doom and gloom and get your party shoes at the ready because turning twenty is just the beginning. You have so many more amazing experiences to come, it's not just down from here. Celebrate in style with the people you love and look forward to your future ahead.
What are you planning to do for your twentieth?

Introducing The Life of a Twenty-Something
"Your twenties are the best years of your life" they say... well to those currently in your twenties you'll know, they are actually some of the hardest years of your life. Growing up quickly, taking the big step into the working world and simply making a life for yourself is only the half of it.
This blog is going to give readers a glimpse into the life of a twenty-something girl looking at the highs and lows of your twenties whilst reminiscing of the old days when life was simpler. Also giving top tips and looking towards the future, 'Twenty Talks' blog will become a guide and your favourite read, appealing to anyone whether you are in your twenties, approaching the big 2-0 or more mature and looking to reminisce and compare.
To start off the blog I feel it's only right to give you a little more information about myself. I am 24 years of age, currently living in South Wales, UK. Unfortunately I am one of the many graduates out there struggling to get where they want to in life. I studied Media Studies at Swansea University, graduating with a 2:1. Nearly 3 years on and I am stuck in the joys of retail. Nevertheless it's not all doom and gloom, I am in a long-term happy relationship, I have a close, loving family and I have two of the best cats you could ever have. (Had to get that in somewhere!)
There is so much more to share and so many subjects to cover so to make sure you're up-to-date with the latest blog posts, don't forget to subscribe to 'Twenty Talks.' I am also eager to hear from others so if you have an idea or a story relevant to this blog and want to be featured as a guest blogger, or simply just want to share your view then don't hesitate to get in touch via the contact form or leave a comment in the box below.
Keep your eyes peeled for my next blog post coming soon!
